Adrian Tennant argues that the way in which differentiation is implemented in class can make a mixed-ability class even more mixed by widening the gap between learners. He thinks that the answer is to create an inclusive classroom which doesn’t ignore differences between learners, but doesn’t make a big deal out of them either . . .
