Andrew Boon is a professor in the faculty of Global Communications at Toyo Gakuen University, Tokyo. He has been teaching in Japan for over 20 years. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Aston University. He has presented at numerous domestic and international ELT conferences and has published many articles on teacher development, motivation and methodology. Gregory Hadley is a professor of TESOL and cultural studies at Niigata University. Also a visiting fellow at Oxford University since 2012, he holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis in the sociology of second language education, and has published numerous works in English language teaching, data-driven learning, qualitative research methodology and critical grounded theory.
