As language teachers, we have probably all experienced the discoursal phenomenon that is a job interview. It is seen as a crucial stage in seeking employment in the field. After investing time and energy in creating and revising our curricula vitae, drafting a cover letter, getting copies of educational certificates and publications together, and possibly writing an essay about our teaching philosophy, we hope to be shortlisted.
