The IATEFL conference is always a great opportunity to meet the many people that I exchange emails with over the course of a year, but very seldom actually see – particularly our many overseas subscribers. It’s so nice to be able to put faces to names at last.
For those early birds who are up and about at 8.15 on Tuesday 20th March, the first full day of the conference, I will be talking on getting an article published in ETp, one of IATEFL’s ‘How to …’ strand of early morning talks. I believe this will be taking place in Boisdale 1. It will finish just in time to get to Adrian Underhill’s plenary session, which offers a new perspective on teaching and learning.
The online conference programme promises a wealth of interesting presentations. I’m also planning to go to Jeremy Harmer’s talk ‘Six key questions for teachers and trainers at the crossroads’ on Thursday at 10.25.
I’ve only been to Glasgow once before and I’m looking forward to it. Let’s hope that we have some nice spring weather.
If you’re at the conference, come over to the Pavilion Publishing stand and have a chat. If not, then don’t forget to try our new website and tell us what you think.
