Possible uses of AI in language classrooms

The artificial intelligence (AI) tools have been changing the ways we interact, teach, work and live our everyday lives. There have been discussions about both the potential benefits and the dangers of these AI tools in the workplaces and educational contexts. More specifically, among the potential benefits, teachers and researchers name the possibilities that AI tools offer for student independent learning and easier access to education. Among the dangers, there are concerns about the reduction in student creative and critical thinking, plagiarism and others. In this short piece, I will describe the instructional contexts of my work and potential uses . . .
