The term coaching has become ubiquitous. We can frequently hear it at conferences, maybe we know of institutions which offer coaching, or know of individuals who brand their services in this way. We may offer it as part of our own services, or employ the techniques of coaching as part of teaching or training. However, the term, the implications of its use and coaching’s exact nature are still often misunderstood.
