21st century skills are human as well as technological

Very often when we hear the term ‘21st century skills’ it is technology and technological advances that come to mind. However, we as educators need to equip our learners not only with language they will need but also with transferable skills they can take with them into the workplace. Being comfortable with technology is certainly part of this, but we also need to keep in mind that the human part of communication is vital.
