Andrew Boon is a Professor in the Global Communications Department of Toyo Gakuen University, Japan, where he has been teaching for almost 20 years. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Aston University, UK, and has presented at numerous domestic and international conferences. Andrew has published extensively on methodology, motivation and teacher development, with over 20 articles appearing in Modern English Teacher. He is also the author and co-author of various coursebooks and graded readers for English language learners. Recently, he co-authored Critical Thinking (Hadley & Boon, 2023), which was a finalist in the category of Innovation in Teacher Resources for the 2024 British Council ELTon awards.
Yitzha Boon is an ALT at Rainbow Phonics English School in Kanagawa, Japan. She has been working with young learners for more than 20 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Jakarta State University, Indonesia. Her interests include Montessori education and teaching Young Learners.
